Hello family,

Wow what a week...

Alright well I got a call on Tuesday Saying that we would be going to the temple the next day and that I had about 2 and a half hours to coordinate everything. That I needed to get food for Sister Coke that is alergic to gluten. Schedule entrevistas for temple Recommends, find transport, get everything ready as far as money and teach Elder Vidal how to get to the Hermanas house so that they could get to the Church safe. We also had to prepare a breakfast and schedule the routes and everything. It was tough work organizing those 14 missionaries in an orderly fashion and with millions of questions and things that were asked we finally got done at about 11 with calling and scheduling everything and I didnt go to sleep until about 12am. Then we woke up at 4:15 to get ready and go get everyone woken up and to the church. With all the streets blocked off and everything shut down it was rough trying to get to the appartments. After all the stress finally died down we were rolling into the heavy traffic at about 6am. I unfortunately wasnt able to sleep with everything rolling around in my head. The good thing is that I got it cleared up enough so that I could have a great experience in the temple.

Everything is going good here in Trebol. We are enjoying everything here. Elder Vidal is really calm and loving, really laid back so I have to make all the decisions again... I dont know why President thinks that I should be the decision maker when everyone knows that I am a very passive aggressive person... Everything has a reason I guess! We are working hard and trying to change the lives of a couple of the families that we are working with namely; Celestino Family, Carlos Osorio, Avaros Family, Cerna Family, and Junior Tuesta. If you could keep them in your prayers as well it would be much appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love you all so much!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello,

Alrighty well lets see what we can do here in 15 minutes.

Everything in Trebol is going good. We are working hard to help out the new missionaries and they are doing super well!!! Elder Lewis BYU football player (the tall blonde one) has gotten super good with his spanish and he is improving a lot! He is a super good guy and fun to get to know! Elder Shipp and I had a work visit this week and we got to know each other a lot better! He is going to be playing football at Boise State when he gets back! His spanish is doing ok but he has a good heart and they are doing great things. It was fun to spend the day with him because most people look at me like I am tall, so when a 6'6'' about 280 pound ofensive lineman walks around the corner the people just stare with horror as one of the twin towers walks by!

One of the coolest things that happened this week was that a man that we have been working with for some time, Ruben Dario Castro, was able to get baptized this week! He was going through a bad moment in time. He is a Venezuelan. He and his cousin have been here in Peru for about 10 months. Elder Bumstead and Elder Acarapi were working with Ruben and his cousin (Jose Ramon) and Jose was able to be baptized but ruben said that he wasnt ready. Elder Acarapi and I went to his house and we invited him to read in the book of mormon and something sparked in him. He then went to a Conference two Fridays ago and then Sunday Two weeks ago, again last Sunday and was baptized this Sunday. He is a great guy and him and his Cousin are going to do great things. They are so good. His testimony was super awesome too. He explained about how happy he was and that he was just waiting for this moment to be able to be baptized!

This week my good friend Elder Wells goes home. We have been in the same zone since Pachacutec. It will be sad to see him off, but it will be good for him. He has been a faithful soldier!!!

Much more to report but never enough time.... Well I love you lots!!!

Hello Family,

Well this week has come and gone in the blink of an eye. Time just keeps slipping through my fingers. This week we had Mission Council which was a crazy experience and I felt that it was exactly what I needed. President Stauffer is super inspired and I know that I have been called here because of him. I know that he has been one of the biggest influences of my mission and he has been a great guide. He talked a little bit about foreordination and about the things that we were able to learn with Elder Falabella. It was a way good experience.

This week we were able to go out and work hard with a lot of our investigators so that they could be able to come to church and have a good experience. This week we had 7 souls come to church which was chaos for us. We were running around the whole meeting teaching lessons and making sure that they had a good experience. We didnt make it to any of the classes and we werent able to do a couple of the basic needs but it was still a great experience and it was very fun running all over.

We are doing good here in Gamarra. I am a happy missionary and we are going to be even happy with all the things that we have planned this month of September! I am super excited for the things that are going to come and to be able to work side by side with Elder Acarapi! I love you guys, I love this work, and I love my God. I hope that you all have a great week and that you can all learn and grow a bunch!

Sincerely,
Elder Hyde #1

Well this week has been up and down. Lots of things going on here. The misssion had a visit from Elder Falabella of the seventy, he is columbian and a really good guy. We were able to learn a bunch from him this week and we were able to learn a bunch from him and expand our knowledge and learn how we can better our skills and hone them in. We also learned a very important lesson about not only planning in a way that is inspired but that is even more specific than normaly done. We understood the need to make detailed plans for each of our investigators for our district leaders and for everyone that we come in contact with. It was cool to see the way that he used some of our fechas and to open our eyes to the reality that could happen if we would just push ourselves a little more. We have made a bunch of plans to help everyone to understand the need to go and give everything that you have and then search for the grace of God. I wish that I could put all my thoughts magically on the computer so that we could all understand me a little better, but that will be technology for the future. Well I love you guys so much and hope that you all enjoy your week and that we can stretch ourselves even more this week. Love you guys so much!!

I talked with President this week and he asked about the family and how they were doing. Then he asked about Grant and gracie and I told him that grant leaves here in a week. He said ''wow thats crazy well how about you give him a call and give him a few pointers and send him off good.'' So I think I will be making a call tomorrow in the morning about 8:00am my time what do you think about that???? Respond quick and let me know!!! I think that it will only be specifically to Grant but still fun!!!

Hi family,

Well so sorry that I am starting this letter so late and that there will not be so much information in it as I would like. Sorry that I cant touch every little experience that I go through or am priveledged to have. I just want you all to know that I love you guys and I love this work. I know that the Lord has blessed me with so many great people and experiences and I know that there is so much more that I receive than I deserve. Sometimes I ask why God gives so much even after we have left him or ignored him or just straight up rejected him. I know that he loves us and expects us to learn to live and to love. I testify of his power and his love and everything that he does for us and the people that he wants and wishes that we become. I know that if we allow him to do his work that he will do it and he will fulfill with his part. I love him and thank him for the wonderful power of his atonement and the power of our repentance. I know that all he wishes is that we come back and that we align ourselves with him. I hope that you all can have confidence in him and his divine power. I know that he will heal our wounds and that he will give us power to overcome. I love each and everyone of you and know that he will bless us for everything that we do that he asks. Many blessings from your missionary in Peru your only missionary for a couple more days!!!!!

Hi family,

So this week was an intreresting week for me and many of my group. So on tuesday we had the Mission council with all of the zone Leaders and Hermana leader Capacitadores. I usually get to slip in for a little bit of time but am not usually in all of it. Well this tuesday in the morning becuase there are so many of us leaving this week President was doing something a little different. Because there are 9 Zone leaders dying and many other district leaders going home he called some of the zone leaders a little earlier. He called a group of about 14 people in to decide who he was going to have be a zone leader, he said that he would interview each of them and then say who would be going up. I was the busy guy bringing people in to have there little interview with President while trying to get so many other things done at the same time. At the end of the 14th interview I just went up to president and said that is it that is all of them, he closed the door and said there is one more. He took me in sat me down and didnt ask any questions just told me that he needed me now more than ever and had been thinking about calling me for a long time but he needed me to clean up all the financial things first. He told me that I needed to be ready to be in charge of a zone and change the lives of the missionaries in it and help him to help these missionaries have experiences that will change there lives forever and that we will be able to change the world. He told me that I need to be happy all the time and not let it show that anything is affecting me and that I need to be able to go running that there was no time to crawl or fall that I had to just start running from day 1. So I didnt have to go through some painful interview I just got put right into the fire haha. So giving me all that about a week ago I have been a little anxious, and happy, and in a panic to get everything done that I need to. I am going to be relieved of a couple duties and put with different ones so we will see what else there is coming on this week. I have no idea which zone but I have to train a new secretary on top of all those things so it will be one of 3 zones I think. Palmeras, El Trebol, Or Los Olivos so we will be telling you a little later athis week. I dont really know what else to say but I am going to do all that I can to be the best missionary that I can. Sorry that I am just saying everything in circles I just only have that one thought running through my head right now. Well I love you guys so much!!!!!!!!!! Until next week.
