Adios elder Castillo

Hello family, 

Well this week was a good one, we had transfers and I was the one who had to organize how everyone was going to get to their new areas and how all of them were going to have their luggage and all the fun little things like that. I also found out that Elder Castillo got changed so that was a little sad for me, I liked him a lot he was a great friend. The good news is that my new companion is a really good guy too. He is Elder Cuenca from Ecuador, he is a really hard worker and seems like we will be able to get things done here as well. I hope that he is just as good or better, and for now it seems like my chances are pretty high. Anyways my weeks kind of mesh together, I don't remember what all I did and what all is happening so it is kinda of hard to pass the information that I don't know to you guys. But everything is good I feel happy and busy so those are the two things that should keep me on the right path and help me to understand even better what I need to do in the future. Umm not to much to report sad to say that I am a pretty normal guy now and just working hard like usual. Sorry I don' t have too much to say this week. I will write down more of my good/funny experiences to tell you all, that is one thing that I want to get better at. Anyways love you all so much keep working hard and playing hard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

New Year, New Changes

Here is me and my new companion Elder Castillo he is from Chile and he is the best.
Well everything is good here in peru, the earthquake didnt do anything to us it was just a little north of us. As for me everything else is good I had transfers and got switched to the area las palmeras. it is an area very different from the ones I have had. It is city and there is no sand in whatever place I go. It is a very wealthy area as well, not as humble as I am used to. I love it the same, I know that we will work hard and do all that we can to progress the work of the lord. I am super happy to be out of there but sad at the same time. I know that all changes come to help us to improve and to have better experiences but this one is going to be different from them all. I know that it will all be ok and that I will learn a lot of new things. I love you guys so much and hope that You all know that I love you. I will keep working as hard as I can for each one of you. I love the things that you have done for me and for the man that you have shaped me to be. I dont know a whole lot more than this as of now everything is still changing. My companion is Elder Castillo and he is from Chile he is 25 years old and he is the best. He is super funny energetic and willing to help in whatever oppurtunity. I love it and it will all be good later on. Love you all so much.

Ended 2017 with baptisms

hose baptisms were of the Ahuanari de águila family, I love their last name, and they are so good. They took a lot of time and a lot of work but they are just the greatest. 

we were sorta able to Skype with Garrett on Christmas day only dropped 20 calls before we finally got a good connection. But we loved hearing his voice and sing his smile.Totally worth our time.

Hello family,

Well this week was a good week for us we were able to get a lot of things done and we were able to have a baptism as well. This baptism was probably my favorite up until now. He is an amazing guy and just needed a miracle to be baptized. So I decided that I would pray and that I would fast for him to know what to do and well he was able to come to the church, even though he was in a fight with his boss and was suffering because he wanted to come but he couldn't. Well he was able to get off work because he needed to have a medical exam. He came and stayed all three hours and then made a bunch of friends with all of the YSA and they invited him to come play soccer and to come to the activities and to be able to have these experiences that helped him overcome the difficulties (his parents were not very happy that he was doing it and they were saying that he would be rejected and all the fun things like that). We went to his house about 2 days befor his baptism and asked how he felt and what was happening and he said that all this was happening and I was waiting for the "we need to give it more time" excuse but, he just looked at us and said," yeah,I don't care what they say or do." I know that this is the true church and that this is where I need to be. Like I said, he is fantastic and now is super good friends with everyone and is having a super good time. Love this work like crazy and love all of the fun crazy experiences that we have. I know that this Church is true and that all the things that we ask in faith after all that we can do will come to pass (if they are right). I just want you all to give all that you have and then ask God in faith for the help you need and it will all be ok I love you guys so much!!!!

well I am doing good I am a lot less stressed I am just letting things go as they go and just giving it all that I have. I am sleeping less thinking about all my investigators. I usually fall asleep around 12 and wake up at 6 or 6:30 now, I think that I function better on less sleep dont know why but I do. My week was good we had a baptism this week and it was probably my favorite baptism up until now. This guy is fantastic and it was a miracle that he was able to be baptized. We have to have the people come to church 3 times to be able to baptize them, and there is a young man who only had one attendance and he has no time works from 7am-9pm and we had no idea what to do because he wants to participate in the church and to have a better relationship with God but his work was always in the way. Well this past sunday 8 days ago he got released from work and so he could come to church, but that means he only had 2 attendances well then we get a text from the zone leaders saying that the face to face with the apostles counted as an attendance so we hauled him to that at 7 in the night. Then with all the friends that he had made they took him to play soccer and to all their activities and he loved it and they helped him progress even more. Until this saturday he was able to be baptized and confirmed (other miracle that he could come). So I am very happy and ready to have more experiences like this one. Me and Elder franco are doing better I am developing patience even though it is just like gracie now that when he has something in mind he just wont leave you alone until it happens, but sadly I am pretty sure it is worse. He wanted to go 20 min out of our area just to buy a spray to have the house smelling good and he probably said the name of the store like 50 times in a matter of 2 hours, but I am getting there.
